We spent 3 days in Gros Morne National Park, a Unesco world heritage site in Western Newfoundland. We stayed at the Good Sam RV park in Rocky Harbour since it was the same price as the National Park campgrounds but had free Wi-Fi Internet.

In addition to Battle Harbour, we visited the southeastern Labrador communities of Mary's Harbour, St. Lewis, Red Bay, and more.

We spent about a day in Battle Harbour, a historic seaside community in Labrador. It's now setup as a heritage museum site by the government of Canada. You can do a day trip to the Island or stay overnight as we did.

The trans Labrador highway is mostly a dirt highway between Labrador City in the West and Happy Valley/Goose Bay in the center. From Goose Bay you take a ferry to Cartright on the East Coast. By 2009 a road should replace the ferry which will allow you to travel from Quebec all the way to the coast of Eastern Labrador.
